The concept of isolation in social, geographic and virtual settings - has spawned various creative investigations over the years. Guided by the philosophical premise of social theorists such as Zygmunt Bauman, Room40 and the University Of Tasmania collaborated to curate a series of sound artworks, found sound pieces and musical interjections spurred on by this theme.

Sorry, out of stock.
Featuring new works from: Stephen Vitiello, Steinbrchel, David Toop, Dale Lloyd, Richard Chartier, For Barry Ray, Scanner, Jeph Jerman, Sebastien Roux, Zane Trow, Janek Schaefer, Ben Owen, Richard Francis and Nest, Ben Frost and Greg Davis. This CD is very welcome as an extension of the idea that was introduced by the Kevin Martin curated Isolationism CD in the mid 90's, and it's a varied and interesting listen. It's housed in a rather nice olive card sleeve too.
