This rather excellent collaboration of gentle folk music from a variety of sources who wouldn't normally do this sort of things. The music on this cd is both sweet and spooky, definitely music of the past but not the kind of folk that has come up for revival.

You may have heard of some of these people before,from various sources, the Barbara Moore singers, Claude Vasori, Basil Kirchin, Pierre Arvay, Christopher Casson and others. This is an utterly enjoyable album that sounds, strangely experimental, from when eccentricism was part of the fabric.
