Return Of The Giant Slits (Blast First Petite)
Rock / Metal
This excellent and timely reissue from Blast First Petite, a label who since going small haven't put a foot wrong is really very welcome. This was the Slits second album after the infamous 'Cut'. Once again it was produced by the underrated and incredible post punk producer Dennis 'Blackbeard' Bovell, who's pedigree included the Pop Group Linton Kwesi Johnson and Orange Juice amongst others including some Lovers Rock for the ladies.

Sorry, out of stock.
The band was a legendary lineup of Ari Up. Viv Albertine and Tessa Pollit, as well as the Pop Group's drummer Bruce Smith and floating member Steve Beresford, who's done a record on Planet Mu also oddly enough. The bonus about this reissue is that as well as the remastered album you get some other versions including Bovell's sublime and highly experimental dubs. Plus a hilarious interview from the time, and some choice photos of the ladies by Anton Corbijn.
