A super-rare, up-tempo soul jam from the mid-60s re-issued on Wax Poetics vinyl series. 'Baby I Want You' was originally released on the very obscure, indie-soul label, Hog. This label was started by the lesser known Larry and Fonce Mizell (who went on to gain 'super-producer' status following their long term working relationship with Blue Note, 'penning' jazz-funk classics for the likes of Donald Byrd) when they we're mere students at a Baltimore university .
