Fame Remixes (Spacebar Sentiments)
Electro Techno
The new one from Volum's Spacebar Sentiments label features four remixes of the 80's pop classic ‘Fame' and was inspired by the much sought after 'Wee killed him EP' by The wee djs , released in 1999 on SCSI AV , which featured it's very own Fame remix. . This EP sees the track resurrected via the medium of remixing as Silicon Scally, Volum, Bass Kittens and The Wee DJ himself offer an updated perspective. On the A-side Carl Finlow aka Silicon Scally provides a sticky, insectoid electro workout and The Wee Djs take their original on a walk down the darkside with a noisy, industrial edged version. Flip over for the best mix of the EP courtesy of label boss Volum - this one's got a great groove and some delightfully detuned synths and voices - and a stuttering old-school electro cut from the Bass Kittens.
