The music here contrasts between tastefulness and more ersatz elements, hints of Chris Rea, mainstream disco or early 80's Balearic pop mix it up nicely with woozy strings, techno fxs and cinematic drama.
At times the mood of the album has a strange, sterile sense of unease, you might imagine the Quiet Village they invoke is only quiet because of some kind of Cannibal attack,
The exotic elements chime well with the strange exotica horror of early 80's video nasties and Fabio Fritzi's gaudy soundtracks for the Lucio Fulchi films.
