Always controversial these documentaries are some of Nick Broomfield's best work, Kurt and Courtney originally an observation of the scene which famously changed due to the intervention of Courtney Love. Biggie and Tupac sheds a massive amount of light on L.A.P.D. corruption, racism and overall the humanity of the two stars caught in the East Coast / West Coast rap battle. The two documentaries on Aileen Wurnos, the subject of the Oscar winning Film 'Monster' are incredibly sad but sympathetic and disturbing tracts on the American Justice System and the Commercialisation of Crime. This selection also includes a 64 page book containing extracts from 'Nick Broomfield: Documenting Icons'.
