We've decided this is probably one of the greatest records of all time here at Warpmart. Basically most of this album consists of cheery product specific advert music from early advertising sung by Mike Sammes and his singers They singer in the Easy 'harmony' style and accompanied everyone such as the Beatles, Burt Bacharach, Francoise Hardy, Cliff Richard and anyone who needed some confident quality Jazz style singing in pop music.

This might sound strange but hearing a group of singers advertising the technical specifications of the International Harvester Tractor is one of the funniest things ever, the Utopian optimism of the early consumer society is a funny thing, this album could be seen as the UK equivalent to the 'Music For Advertisments' stuff that The Manhattan Research Company did with Raymond Scott, but far more homespun.

Along with this you get Mike's songs about 'Youth' from a 40 minute film found in a box of reel to reels marked 'Youth Film' which is also some outstanding Easy listening, all in that lush easy listening style like Grannies on ecstasy. Wonderful.
