Two tracks from the big guns of dubstep as this teaser for the new dubstep compilation on Soul Jazz records drops very soon. The two tracks here contrast greatly. Magnetic City by Kode 9 is all offbeat drums, strange held notes and quite an up-tempo feel, quite different from what Kode 9 is known for, with a kind of dayglo feel which is similar to tracks like 'Midnight Request Line'. The Mystikz track is much very different, leaning on Soul Jazz's recognition as a reggae label, this track is as close to roots reggae as dubstep ever gets.
