A bleak instrumental album that takes some cues from Portishead's hip-hop misery and the creepiest, atmospheric giallos from 70's Italy. This self titled album from London-based, Blackfilm; a name that refects the nature of the music - a lumbering, doom-laden dirge that stumbles occasionally over shards of electronic glitches and flourescent static. If Scorn remade the 'Dawn Of The Dead' soundtrack it may sound a little like this. Highly recommended.
