Bass Clef comes with an idea that takes the recent ideas of mixing dubstep and minimal techno and creates something more innovative and strange than some attempts at it, which have seen at the worst instances, dubstep styles boiled down to just 4/4 dub techno with a big bassline. On this ep he twists the elements of drums and bass into weird shapes on the lead track like a lo-fi grime autechre, while the other two are something else, a tough acid two-step track and a brittle strange dubstepper. Bass Clef reconfigures the dubstep/grime axis to his own vision and it works.
