Aleph-1 is a new project by Carsten Nicolai, who you may know through his work as Alva Noto and other projects on labels such as Raster Norton. It’s a project that he hopes will challenge time itself. The music on this album is meant to be listened to in it’s entirety, very minimal graceful tones and rhythmic circles that gently fall in and out of recognizable rhythm until you loose track of time. The music performs the act of pure escapism, which is a very worthwhile act to pursue at times. It's incredible clear beautiful machine music, working to very precise and exacting standards.
